Episode 179: Sarah Bragg
Today, I want to have a conversation with you about what surviving looks like. In our culture, it’s easy to operate out of a do it all and do it well mentality. We are told to thrive in every situation. Somewhere along the lines, surviving got a bad rep. But what if surviving is something noteworthy? What if surviving was actually admirable? In this episode, I will talk about what surviving means to me—what I think it actually is—and how we need to give ourselves permission to show up where we are as we are.
The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown
Small Group Questions:
In what ways have you viewed surviving—good, bad, neutral?
Talk about a time when you felt like you were surviving?
How would it have been helpful if you were given permission to just show up where you were as you were?
What are some of the pressures you feel?
What permission do you need to give yourself today?
